Menopause.webp

Experiencing menopause means  the time that marks the end of our menstrual cycles. Every woman must have to pass through this period. So it’s essential for us to know that we are not alone to experience this situation.

Therefore we must require guidance from a professional healthcare provider.I want to share my experience at Neurosurgeon in South Punjab where I saw the specialized care and support during treatment of menopause.

Understanding Menopause

Menopause marks the time of life when a woman’s ovaries stop producing hormones and menstrual periods stop. It typically occurs in their late 40s or early 50s.

This condition occurs after 12 months without a menstrual period and it is a natural biological process. This is because there exist some physical changes that often come with emotional and mental challenges.

Common Symptoms

Some symptoms are expressed in our body after changes in specific age such as,

Hot Flashes: Suddenly heat evolved from our body, as a result we were sweating a lot. This is also a sign of some physical change that occurs in our body.

Night Sweats: Severe hot flashes occurring at night during sleeping.

Mood Changes: Sometimes we are irritable, depressed, or anxious due to some internal body changes.

Sleep Problems: Difficulty falling or staying asleep mostly suffered by the people who are busy in their work and have no time to sleep.

Weight Gain: Changes in metabolism due to less physical activities that lead to weight gain.

Thinning Hair and Dry Skin: Hormonal changes can affect  dull skin color and hair fall.

Treatments and Management

Managing Menopause can be managed by a combination of treatments that are chosen by our healthcare care provider according to our hormonal changes and also adjust our lifestyle.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

If any woman feels symptoms of menopause then we must consult with our doctor. So that they can provide us with treatments such as HRT which is one of the most effective results.

For example during this therapy we can treat estrogen and progesterone to replace the hormones that are further produced in our body.

Therefore HRT can be highly beneficial, but it also has some disadvantages when discussing the risks and benefits with our doctor.

Lifestyle Adjustments

I also want to share my personal experience when I have face certain changes in my  lifestyle that can significantly express our menopause symptoms:

Healthy Diet:  A balanced diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains helps to  maintain our body functions.

Regular Exercise:  Physical activity can help to maintain our normal weight, improve mood by activating harmons, and promote better sleep for fresh woke up.

Stress Reduction: Practices such as yoga, meditation, and deep-breathing exercises can reduce stress and improve our mental as well as physical health.

Natural Remedies

Some women prefer natural remedies to manage their symptoms because these have no side effects and are more beneficial to our body.

For example we can use some herbal supplements like black cohosh, flaxseed to balance hormones and soy. Therefore it’s important for us to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new treatment.

Emotional and Psychological Support

If we cannot pay attention towards menopause symptoms then it can also affect our mental health due to imbalance hormone.

To prevent serious conditions we have to consult with professionals, such as a psychiatrist in Multan, who can provide better guidance and support during this time.

Mental health professionals can treat us with counseling and therapy that helps to manage our mood swings, depression, and anxiety after balancing hormones.

The Role of Support Systems

We must share our situation with our friends or family members. That can understand our condition and provides us with plans and support to overcome this disease.

We should not underestimate the importance of a strong support system. Talking to family and friends about what we’re going through can provide comfort and understanding.

Seeking Professional Help

When symptoms become severe, then this is not advantageous for us to seek professional guidance because it’s too late for us.

I want to talk about facilities like Mash Hospital that offer comprehensive care for their patients so that they recover soon and move back to their routine work.

Final Thoughts

Menopause is treated with correct information,  family support, professional  guidance, and treatment, so we can manage its symptoms and maintain our quality of life.

For example, every woman’s experience is unique and different.sometime one thing is to work best for one person and not work for another. So it’s important for us to find the right treatment that suits our health and provides us support.
